Where is kenya at 50

There is no doubt we came from far, the struggles and strives have made us who we are.

From guerrila wars with our collonial masters, to having our own government on which replaced the previous masters.

At fifty we all scream happy birthday to you, and many more to come the wishes accrue.

But what do we really have to show for, when others still go to sleep without a roof over their heads.

There is no defining what this is, a list of offences read out and the verdict read is guilty.

Oppression_Guilty
Corruption_Guilty
Violation of Human Rights_Guilty

The list is endless, too bad its a mess, this is what we really hide under the smiles and the rest.

Its about time we change our ways, and this can only be achieved if we all change in the coming days.

Lets all unite and make kenya different, and rid our differences for a new fifty.

We Are One.

Wilted Flower

The thing about flowers is that they wilt with seasons, like love and its many reasons, the lies tilt through greater beyonds, no more forever and afters, illusions of joy and laughters, corruption of sons through daughters and the decay of whats moral and upright.

A flower has many colours, but its only on decay that one would see its true worth, long after the price is sought, it is revealed its worth in rot.

Our First Kiss

I remember the first kiss, though not exactly our first, but it was the first we shared, so beautifull I still miss...
Those beautifull lips so close I couldn't wait, I even wonder was it luck or just by fate...

Your hand in mine set the mood for this day,
What a wonder to hold someone this way...
Almost freezing with you beside,
Your lips ever closer I had nowhere to hide...

And when I reached your lips, You tightened the grip,
And the moment came and we had our first kiss,
My heart melted, and I was filled with bliss...

Tried so hard, but I couldn't open my eyes,
for a moment in your arms I felt like I died..

Our first kiss, I would never forget because It reminds me of a moment that is just perfect....

Dear Sleep

Dear Sleep,

It's been a long day without you and I miss the fun we had, You've always indulged me so much, everytime that I crawl in bed,
But I always have to leave you whenever the sun hits my head,
And for that I'm sorry and I hope our love won't fade..

I hear you've not be so well since the last time we were together,
And I hear you calling my me coz my eyelids keep on coming together,
I promise I won't be late,
Coz I know how much you hate,
When we don't spend quality time,
Since i've got to be up by nine..

Well I just wanted to let you know that you're not far from my heart,
I still and will love you forever, that's until the alarm clock breaks us apart.

Love Always.

Me.

Types of Love

There are loves that fades away with years..
There are loves that bring back memories or tears..
The kinda love that through anything it still adheres..
And that's the love i've always held dear..

There are loves that will never bring you happiness..
There are loves that will leave a man hopeless..
These kinds of love are always pointless..
And because of this one ends up heartless..

But there are loves that will always be true..
There are loves that will never argue..
The kinda love that will forever grow..
And that's my kinda love, if only you knew

Random Acts Of Kindness

A random act of kindness is defined as a selfless act intended to cheer up an individual or people.. But how random is it that you fail to notice the poor begger on the street but you see that cute lady struggling with her enormous shopping bag? Is that random.. You fail to not help the old lady cross the street but you give your extra pen to that one who's about to give your best friend her number.. Just how random are your acts I fail to understand this definition.. Do you choose to randomise these acts? Or do you do percentages and averages as in only beautifull women deserve my acts of kindness is it so? I just hope that wont get you laid and when it does may you contract aids.. Check yourself and live a well thought of life.. Goodnight you all

The prayer-fool gambler

I've never understood why I gamble.. See i'm always entrapped in my safety bubble.. So I wager I bet.. and to My knees I pray that today I'll be lucky albeit..

I wonder why I always lose, or is it that gambling is one ancient roose. Coz i've lost thousands of moneys. Sometimes it's just funny, how never will I ever earn some cents.

Once again today I've done did it.. Called my bookie.. And placed my bet.. With a bible on hand am waiting for my chance to walk away with cash i've not earned.

Liberty... Equality... Fraternity

Liberty... Equality... Fraternity...

These three words tend to seem kinda antagonistic due to their difficulty of association.
We see liberty as the aim, equality as the principle and fraternity as the means.
See It's right beyond human rights that any man aspires to attain liberty, to achieve equality, but one cannot achieve these factors without the assistance of you and me and that's where fraternity comes to be..

All human beings are born equal both in dignity and in rights. We are endowed with a conscience and should act towards each other in a spirit of brotherhood.
We have to respect each other regardless of age, gender, race, skin colour or sexual preference.
The opposition between brothers brings tears to my eyes, images of spilled blood haunts my mind.
social differences are enough to start a national disaster but we're quick to forget that we live here, why should there be nothing to come back to? no joy.. No laughter..

Liberty.. Equality.. Fraternity..

We live in an empty world where idealistic dreams are an individuals autonomy Manifesting in the present.
It's realization, the basis of a happy community devoided of all conflict.
Beyond the antagonisms and between the liberals and the socialist bastards who associate themselves with death, deceit, corruption lies a dichomy between those who are and those who are not..

Is this Liberty? Is this Equality? Is this Fraternity?

The law which should be the same protects them and ends up punishing me. That gets me thinking, is it only liberty that ensures equality or unless the latter was ment to be the equality of all?
Mind you liberty is being able to do anything that does not bring harm to others. So am here listening to my politician, am missing a day of work and probably my children will have nothing to fav tonight. See i'll starve just to catch a glimpse of him but he still won't care does that spell out liberty on my part?

What is Liberty? What is Equality? What is Fraternity?

We're living in times where equality contradicts equality by brutally levelling an individuals sovereignity and natural rights possessed by all mankind.
Equality is corrupted in it's opposition by our leaders who promise liberty but deliver empty dreams, they promise equality which turns to insanity, they even promise fraternity, a sentiment not seen in five years of misery but they hurriedly hurl back to seek my vote..

Gimme Liberty.. Gimme Equality.. Gimme Fraternity..

The modern government adorns evangelistic halo's that conflict our solidarity, they put up red flags to cover our innocent eyes leaving up with our social religions the likes of facebook and twitter where we're quick to air out our grievances just to tuck back our tails when it really matters.
See, equality disappears into our lips faster than the judicial equality in Kenya.
It's either one follows and the other precedes.
Do justice unto your fellow man and stop counting your good deeds.
It's either you gimme justice or you gimme death because these words I hold are the truth and it's self evident that all men are created equal in life, in liberty and in the pursuit of happiness..

Libery.
Equality..
Fraternity...

Ninaomba Serekali, 'a lazy Kenyan's cry'...

''NINAOMBA SEREKALI'' a common misconception that drives all kenyan minds that the coveted government will put dinner at your table, butter your toast and clothe your body..
Let's look at this subject for a minute.. What do you think the Government will do for you? You lose your children, cry to the government.. You lost your hair, you cry to the government, pretty soon our young ladies will lose their virginities and cry to the govermenent as well.. Wake up people and smell the coffee.. The government is not your personal sugar daddy that will always be their for your superficial needs..
No wonder they ass rape us with all their outrageous taxation just because they can..
Please.. Please and please my fellow kenyans.. Solve your own petty issues and stop crying foul to matters that you can brainstorm and work out on your own.. Stop the lazy trend...

Tribal Cancer

The dictionary defines tribalism as a state of conforming to a particular tribe.. It's where one man favours his tribe over friends in general...
But lemme give you a different outlook, the Kenyan perspective.. It's a disease that has no cure.. A generational curse am sure.. A point of no return.. Second nature to none..
It traces back to our fore-fathers.. Enforced by political god-fathers.. Till when will we not realise that this won't take us any further...
How can you raise your hand towards your neighbour because your politician said so?
How do you chase our your wife because she's from another tribe?
These are the lives the 'common mwanainch' live while the 'wenye nchi' laugh and drink while throwing parties and making merry all night...
See we live in a country where one can not get even the lowest of all jobs unless he has an affiliation with a particular tribe..
We live in a country where the poor man will suffer blood, sweat and tears for a man who won't care whether your children will eat tonight..
See, we as a people need to join hands and eradicate this cancer that kills us from within..
Till when will we associate a particular tribe to thieves, murderers, etc..
Till when will I insist that am not my tribe.. Am the man within
But at this rate I don't see that happening, it's only untill a luo will gather more support in Central Kenya than a Kikuyu..
Or when a Kikuyu will be accepted as a brother in Kisumu..
But untill that comes to be, God Save us all...

When Goodnight Turns Into Goodbye

When that goodnight turns into a goodbye...

It's when it seems like everything you did looks like you didn't even try...

It's when you put on a brave face but still you can't stop the tears and you cry...

It's when you sit and reminisce asking yourself why...

Did the goodnight turn to be a goodbye........

Reality Check

It's virtually impossible but it's emotionally plausible how everything in this room reminds me of her,
The enclosure between these four walls seem so close but my mind wonders so far,
How every scent captures my vivid imagination and just how my frail heart lingers to that fateful orientation,
But reality check, "she's gone!", left, departed, scattered across these vast grounds,
What's left are the memories we shared,
The once sacred promises of forever and after, the foggy imagery of her joys and laughter,
She's far beyond the grasps of my nimble palms but when I close my eyes I can actually taste her fruity lips,
The once royal treasure, her purplre dress is now just but a bounty, spoils from the epic war I fought with cupid,
If bad isn't worse I even kept her tooth brush with the hopes of one day i will wake up with it brushing my teeth but somehow I just do not feel mentally fit,
Reality is creeping up on me! I so wish I would awake from this nightmare but,
Reality check, she's long gone. . .

unborn

The once bright moon turns black on sight..
Joy turns to sorrow when am alone in the night..

I search for answers within a forbidden soul..
A once brave man is now nolonger whole..

What became of me when you took your leave..
Left me but a coward who wears his heart on the wrong sleave...

No more sunsets and mornings, Just shades of grey..
The one unborn will never pray...

Fate was sealed aback my grinded teeth..
Whatever gave way when earth coiled at my very feet..

Birds sing to bring death upon the land..
But with faith comes a price clnched in my hand..

When the mirror never lies, your reflection is just as ugly.. Deceit comes begging, when love is nolonger handy..

No more sunsets and mornings, just shades of grey.. The one unborn will never pray...
